NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- Position the front driver's seat (1a) rearward. If necessary, lift the seat by using the respective lifting lever (1b).
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Cut the tie (2).
- Disconnect the Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM) wire harness connectors (3).
- Release the retaining tabs (1a) and release the CSWM (1b) from the support bracket mounted to the base of the seat (1c).
- Remove the CSWM (1b).
