Sensor, Camshaft Position: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL .

  3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the oil vapor recovery pipe (1) from the cylinder head cover.

  4. Remove the bolt (1) from the engine oil vapor pipe middle support bracket.

  5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the idle oil vapor delivery pipe (1).

  6. Remove the bolts and reposition the complete oil vapor separator (1).

  7. Unlock and disconnect the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor wire harness connector (1).

  8. Remove the mounting bolt (2) and Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor (1).

  9. The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor O-ring (1) can be reused if not damaged.
