Negative Response During Key Programming
This occurs when the RFH is partially unlocked. This can be caused by performing the key programming procedure incorrectly. Follow the steps below to resolve.
- Navigate to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and select the "Misc Functions" tab.
- Select "PCM/RFH Replace".
- You will be asked to enter a PIN. This is the same PIN you retrieved in Dealerconnect on Step 1 of the Add Key procedure. Unlike the key fob programing, all vehicles will require the seven minute delay prior to the procedure being completed.
- Once the "PCM/RFH Replace" procedure is complete, the RFH will be unlocked. You can now continue programming a key fob starting with Step 2 of the Add Key procedure.
