Removal And Installation: Installation
- Tighten the screw of the plate on manual transmission support crossmember the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the stud (1a) on the differential (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the crossmember in its housing and loosely install the nuts, then tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the nuts (1a) of the crossemember (1b) to the transmission (1c) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the nuts (1a) of the crossmember (1b) to the differential (1c) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten again the nuts (1a) of the crossmember (1b) to the transmission to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the underbody tunnel reinforcement crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT REINFORCEMENT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION CROSSMEMBER, FRONT SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION CROSSMEMBER, PEDESTRIAN IMPACT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION CROSSMEMBER, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION CROSSMEMBER, UNDERBODY TUNNEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the wood/rubber wedge, previously positioned to support the differential.
- Remove the hydraulic lift, previously positioned to support the transmissions.
- Check that the distance between the underbody tunnel reinforcement crossmember (1a) and the transmission support crossmember (1b) is within the range of 22.4 to 28.4 mm. If the measurement is not within 22.4 to 28.4 mm loosen the nuts of the transmission support crossmember, move the transmission, and repeat the fastening procedure.
- Install the center exhaust pipe Refer to PIPE, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the rear belly pan Refer to BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the transmission belly pan Refer to BELLY PAN, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the front reinforcement crossmember Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT REINFORCEMENT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the front belly pan Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove supports and lower the vehicle.
- Install the negative battery cable.
