When Monitored

This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

• The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is commanding 2nd gear.
• The Output speed is greater than a calibrated rpm.
• The ignition line voltage is greater than 9.0 Volts.
• The system voltage is within a calibrated operating range (9V-16V).
• The TCM is not operating in a diagnostic service mode.
• The TCM has completed the read operation of its non-volatile memory.
• No CAN Bus-Off faults have been detected.
• No ECM Communication faults have been detected.
• The engine speed is greater than to 400 rpm.
• Ignition status CAN signal from Body Control Module (BCM) is equal to Ignition On or Ignition On Engine Running.
• Shifter position is in D or Autostick.
• No input speed or output speed sensor faults have been detected.
• Automatic transmission fluid temperature is greater than 20 deg C.
• No automatic transmission fluid temperature sensor faults have been detected.
• Engine Coolant Temperature is greater than 40 deg C.
