Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF ERRORS
1. Go to Key-OFF condition, then ON (engine off or on).
2. Connect the diagnosis equipment and check for errors.
  Are there any other errors?
  
  Yes
  - Proceed as indicated by the diagnosis equipment to resolve other errors.
  - Go to Step 2.
  No
  - Go to Step 2.
CHECK CORRECT OPERATION OF TRANSMISSION OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR
1. Connect the diagnosis equipment to the Transmission Control Module and check correct operation of the transmission oil sensor.
  Is the air temperature sensor working properly?
  
  Yes
  - Go to Step 3.
  No
  - Replace the solenoid valve assembly.
  - Go to Step 4.
CHECK TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) WIRING
1. Go to Key-OFF status.
2. Disconnect connector B of the Transmission Control Module.
3. Check whether the terminals of the transmission oil temperature sensor are disconnected, damaged or corroded.
  Are terminals disconnected, damaged or corroded?
  
  Yes
  - Repair or replace the connector or the terminals.
  - Go to Step 4.
  No
  - Go to Step 4.
CHECK CORRECT OPERATION OF TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM)
1. Perform the Transmission Control Module error deletion procedure.
2. Start the engine.
3. Heat engine and gearbox.
4. Drive the vehicle for at least 10 minutes with the automatic transmission selector in D position.
5. Gradually slow down and stop the vehicle.
6. Switch off the engine.
7. Start the engine.
8. Drive the vehicle for at least 10 minutes with the automatic transmission selector in D position.
9. Check whether there is a fault.
  Is the error still present?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Transmission Control Module. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL (TCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  No
  - End of diagnosis.
