      • Go to Step  2.
  2. CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH WIRING
    1. Go to Key-OFF condition, then Key-ON (engine off or on).
    2. Select P position of Transmission Range Switch and check that the voltage measured between PIN O of connector A of Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the ground is 0 V and that on PINS M, N, K of the same connector there is the power supply voltage of the node.
    3. Select R position of Transmission Range Switch and check that the voltage measured between PIN M of connector A of Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the ground is 0 V and that on PINS P, N, K of the same connector there is the power supply voltage of the node.
    4. Select N position of Transmission Range Switch and check that the voltage measured between PIN N of connector A of Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the ground is 0 V and that on PINS P, M, K of the same connector there is the power supply voltage of the node.
    5. Select D position of Transmission Range Switch and check that the voltage measured between PIN K of connector A of Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the ground is 0 V and that on PINS P, M, N of the same connector there is the power supply voltage of the node.

Moving the selector from P position to D position, are voltages other than the ones expected slowly measured even for a single moment?

      Yes

      • Go to Step  3.

      No

      • Go to Step  7.
  3. CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
    1. TEST_STEPS_NOT_AVAILABLE

Are there two or more terminals whose voltage measured in the previous step is abnormal?

      Yes

      • Adjust the Transmission Range Switch.
      • Go to Step  9.

      No

      • Go to Step  4.
  4. CHECK TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WIRING
    1. Go to Key-OFF status.
    2. Disconnect connector A of the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
    3. Check whether the terminals O, M, N, K of the wiring connector are disconnected, damaged or corroded.

Are terminals disconnected, damaged or corroded?

      Yes

      • Repair or replace the connector.
      • Go to Step  9.

      • Go to Step  9.

      No

      • Go to Step  6.
  6. CHECK CORRECT OPERATION OF TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH
    1. Connect the diagnosis equipment to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and ensure correct operation of the Transmission Range Switch.

Does the Transmission Range Switch work correctly?

      Yes

      • Presence of an open circuit on the selector wiring.
      • Repair or replace the wiring.
      • Go to Step  9.

      No

      • Replace the Transmission Range Switch. (Refer to the appropriate service information ).
      • Go to Step  7.
  7. CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH WIRING
    1. Go to Key-OFF status.
    2. Disconnect connector A of the Transmission Range Switch.
    3. Go to Key-ON status (engine off).
    4. Check connection continuity between terminal E of connector A of the Transmission Range Switch and the ground.

      Is there a wiring discontinuity?

      Yes

      • Remove the wiring discontinuity.
      • Go to Step  9.
