Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Check that the steering wheel is not damaged.
  2. Position the steering wheel in its housing by inserting the centering pins.
  3. Connect the electrical harness connection.
  4. Tighten the steering wheel mounting to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the cover for the nut on the hub.
  6. Install drivers airbag. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  8. Connect the diagnosis equipment and check that there are no errors in the system.
