Removal And Installation: Installation
- Position the shaft in its housing and install mounting bolts, without tightening the plate fixing nuts to the passenger compartment floor.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Install a NEW
intermediate shaft pinch bolt to the steering box and tighten the pinch bolt to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Lower the car.
- Tighten the mounting nuts (1a) securing the flange (1b) to the front bulkhead to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the steering column. Refer to COLUMN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
