Diagnostic Test
- CHECK THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR IS WORKING
- torque 1 steering shaft
- torque 2 steering shaft
- turning left, the value should start at 0 Nm and increase to a positive value
- turning right, the value should start at 0 Nm and increase to a negative value
Do the parameters indicate the following values? - turning left, the value should start at 0 Nm and increase to a positive value - turning right, the value should start at 0 Nm and increase to a negative value -
Yes
- Go to Step 2.
No
- Replace the Steering Shaft in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SHAFT, INTERMEDIATE, UPPER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Move on to Step 2.
- CHECK THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) MODULE IS WORKING PROPERLY
- Connect the diagnosis equipment and carry out the EPS Module error deletion procedure.
- Check if the error is still present.
Is the error still present?
Yes
- Repeat the checks from Step 1 .
- Replace the Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to GEAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
No
- End of diagnosis.
