Fuel Pump

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the fuel pump module. Refer to MODULE, FUEL PUMP, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the fuel level sending unit and sensor. Refer to SENDING UNIT AND SENSOR, FUEL LEVEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Remove the retaining clips (1a) to release the tie rod (1b) from the cover (1c).

4. Disconnect the electrical connection (1) for the electric fuel pump.
5. Lift the tabs (2a) and separate the fuel pump motor (2b) equipped with pressure sensor.

6. Release the retaining clips (1a) and separate the filter (1b) from the fuel pump motor (1c).
7. Remove the pressure regulator (2) from fuel pump motor.
8. Keep the seal (3).

INSTALLATION 

1. Position the pressure regulator in its housing.
2. Place the gasket in position.
3. Assemble the filter to the fuel pump and secure the retaining clips.
4. Assemble the lower body to the upper body of fuel pump and secure the retaining clips.
5. Position the retaining clips to secure the tie rods to the upper cover.
6. Install the fuel level sending unit and sensor. Refer to SENDING UNIT AND SENSOR, FUEL LEVEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Install the fuel pump module. Refer to MODULE, FUEL PUMP, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
