Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right front wheel from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the vibration damper. Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. Release the retaining buttons (1a) and position aside the rear half of the wheel arch (1b).
  6. Release the retaining buttons (2a) and remove the wheel guard (2b), releasing the retainer on the body (2c).

  7. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the generator.
  8. Remove the nut and disconnect the power cable connection (2).
  9. Remove the generator bolt (3a).

  10. Remove the nut (1a) to remove the generator (1b).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Align the generator to the vehicle for installation and secure it to the housing. Tighten the screw and the nut to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the generator.
  3. Install the wheel arches.
  4. Install the vibration damper. Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, TRANSMISSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the right front wheel to the vehicle.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
