Description And Operation
The Radio Receiver Node (RRN) controls the audio signal from the entertainment system related parts.
Function
| Function | Description |
| Tuner switching | Controls the tuner built into the RRN based on the control signal sent from the Entertainment Telematics Module (ETM) via the Controller Area Network (CAN) line. |
| Audio signal output | Outputs the audio signal sent from the ETM, media hub and auxiliary jack to the speakers. |
| Auto Level Control (ALC) (without Bose®) | Receives the vehicle speed signal sent from the ETM and automatically adjusts the volume and audio quality according to the vehicle speed and compensates for the passengers' sense of a lack of audio volume which occurs as a result of external noise while driving. |
| Road noise correction system (AudioPilot®2) (with Bose®) | The volume of the parts of the music covered by noise is corrected by the audio amplifier based on the passenger compartment noise measured by the AudioPilot®2 microphone and the vehicle speed signal sent from the ETM via the local CAN data bus. |
