Diagnostic Test

  1. VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Using the scan tool, read RBC DTCs.

      Is the DTC active at this time?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MODULE) diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
  2. VERIFY THAT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE IS ACTIVE ON THE BUS 
    1. Using the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
    2. Verify that the ABS Module is active on the bus.

      Is the ABS Module active on the bus?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

      • Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MODULE) diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
  3. REGENERATIVE BRAKE CONTROLLER (RBC) 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Replace the Regenerative Brake Controller (RBC) in accordance with service information. Refer to CONTROLLER, REGENERATIVE BRAKE (RBC), REMOVAL .
    3. Perform the RBC VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. Using the scan tool, read RBC DTCs.

      Does the DTC remain active?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Test complete.
