Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR RELATED DTCS 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs.

      Are there any communication DTCs present?

      Yes 

      • Refer to the DTC INDEX - 500E and perform any communication diagnostic procedure before proceeding.

      No 

      • Go To  2
  2. CHECK IF THE DTC IS ACTIVE 
    1. Turn the ignition on, vehicle in run mode.
    2. Turn the A/C on to max cold.
    3. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds.
    4. With the scan tool, read Electric Vehicle Control Unit (EVCU) DTCs.

      Is the status for this DTC Active?

      Yes 

      • This DTC is an informational DTC that will set if the EVCU receives a message over the Can Bus showing no Electric Compressor RPM when a request was sent. For EAC diagnostics, refer to the DTC INDEX - 500E .

      No
