Theory Of Operation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The C2 Pressure Control Linear solenoid is used to control overall transmission line pressure. The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the Solenoid current load and resistance. If a fault is detected, the transmission will go into limp in mode, the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) will be disabled, and the MIL will be illuminated.
- When Monitored
Ignition on, engine running.
System voltage is greater than 10.5 volts.
No solenoid short to voltage DTCs set.
- Set Condition
C2 Pressure Control Linear solenoid current is less than 0.02 of an amp for more than 0.1 of a second for five consecutive tests.
