1. Install the transaxle to vehicle using a suitable transmission jack.
2. Pull the engine forward to gain clearance for the stud to pass through the engine block.
3. Install the nut (1), tighten to 60 N.m (44ft. lbs.).
4. Install the remaining transmission bell housing bolts (3) tighten to 40 N.m (30 ft. lbs.).

5. Install the rear transmission mount bracket bolt, nut and bracket to transmission tighten the bolt to 80 N.m (59 ft. lbs.).

6. Install the rear transmission mount bolt (1) nut and mount (2) to the frame tighten the bolt to 130 N.m (96 ft. lbs.).

7. Install the left side mount. Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).
8. Install exhaust extension pipe.

9. Install the oxygen sensor wire in the loom/clip (1).
10. Connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
11. Install the starter. Refer to STARTER, INSTALLATION .
12. Install the halfshafts. Refer to INSTALLATION .

13. Install the cross car cradle brace (1). Tighten the bolts to 90 N.m (66 ft. lbs.)
14. Install the belly pan if equipped. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
15. Lower the vehicle.

16. Install upper bell housing bolts and tighten to 60 N.m (44ft. lbs.

17. Connect selector cable (1) to the lever.

18. Connect the cable to the mounting bracket (1).

19. Connect the shift cable (1) to the lever.

20. Install the concentric slave cylinder hose (2)

21. Connect reverse lamp switch connector (2).
22. Install the ground strap at the transmission.
23. Install the charged air cooler outlet hose on the throttle body.
24. Install the cooling system module.
25. Install both head lamp assemblies. Refer to UNIT, HEADLAMP, INSTALLATION .

26. Install both vertical brace with two bolts (1) tightened to 45 N.m (33 ft. lbs.).
27. Install the Front Fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
28. Install air cleaner assembly. Refer to AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION for 1.4L 16V Turbo; AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION
29. Install the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
30. Fill engine coolant system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
31. Recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
32. Check the transmission fluid levels and correct as needed. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE  .
33. Road test vehicle and inspect for leaks.
