Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Eagle Talon. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Knock sensor is located on side of cylinder block, below intake manifold. Knock sensor contains a 2-pin Gray connector with White and Black/White wires in the connector.
  2. Disconnect connector for knock sensor. Remove lower intake manifold brace from intake manifold for access to knock sensor. Unscrew knock sensor from cylinder block.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten knock sensor and lower intake manifold brace bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
