DTC Test No. 34 - Pulse Generator Assembly Malfunction

NOTE: For Engine Control Module (ECM) connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in the INTRODUCTION section. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - TURBO article.

NOTE: Possible causes for DTC are: defective pulse generator or ECM.

The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors output pulse signals from pulse generators on transaxle. If a failure exists in the output pulse signal, the TCM delivers a malfunction signal to the ECM.
Check TCM and transaxle control system. See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS article in appropriate section.
