Clutch Assembly: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW front roll stopper bracket bolt. See Fig 2 . Use NEW axle shaft snap ring. When installing axle shaft, temporarily install axle shaft so that tripod joint case is perpendicular to transaxle. DO NOT allow serrated part of axle shaft to damage oil seal.
Use NEW cotter pins. When weight of engine is on body, ensure dimension "A" between center member and front roll stopper bracket is 1.57-1.81" (40-46 mm). See Fig 2 . If dimension is not as specified, replace front roll stopper bracket. Check speedometer operation.

To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply grease to clutch release fork fingers, fulcrum and push rod cup. Apply grease to inner surface of clutch release bearing and clutch disc splines.
Use NEW front roll stopper bracket and transaxle mounting bracket bolts. See Figure . When installing axle shaft, temporarily install axle shaft so that tripod joint case is perpendicular to transaxle. DO NOT allow serrated part of axle shaft to damage oil seal.
Use NEW ball joint nuts. Use NEW cotter pins. When weight of engine is on body, ensure dimension "A" between center member and front roll stopper bracket is 1.57-1.81" (40-46 mm). See Figure . If dimension is not as specified, replace front roll stopper bracket. Check speedometer operation.
