Power Steering Pressure Switch

Power steering pressure switch is located on top of power steering pump and contains a 1-pin connector. See Fig 1 . Power steering pressure switch delivers input signal to Engine Control Module (ECM) to indicate when steering wheel is being turned and high pressure exists for steering operation. ECM uses input signal for controlling engine idle speed when steering wheel is being turned.
