Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Engine coolant temperature sensor is located in coolant housing on passenger's side front of engine, just below coolant filler cap. Engine coolant temperature sensor has a Black wire and a Black/White wire in the connector. Engine coolant temperature sensor contains a built-in thermistor in which the resistance changes in relation to engine coolant temperature. Engine coolant temperature sensor delivers input signal to Engine Control Module (ECM) to indicate engine coolant temperature. The ECM uses input signal for controlling fuel injection system and ignition timing.
