Fluid Level Check

  1. With vehicle on flat, level surface, start engine and turn steering wheel lock-to-lock several times to warm fluid. Fluid temperature should be about 122-140°F (50-60°C). Check fluid for foaming or milkiness. Replace fluid if foamy or milky.
  2. With engine running, fluid level should be up to mark on reservoir. Stop engine and check fluid level. If fluid level rises more than .2" (5 mm), bleed system.
