  2. Install throttle position sensor on throttle body in proper position with screws loosely installed on throttle body (if removed). Perform STEP 1. See Figure.
  3. Rotate throttle position sensor 90 degrees on throttle body to proper position and tighten retaining screws to specification. Perform STEP 2. See Figure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between terminals No. 3 and 4 on throttle position sensor. See Figure. Continuity should exist with throttle fully closed. No continuity should exist with throttle fully open.
  5. If no continuity exists with throttle fully closed, loose retaining screws. Rotate throttle position sensor counterclockwise. Tighten retaining screws and recheck continuity.
CAUTION: Throttle body gasket must be installed with protrusion area in proper position. See Fig 1.
  6. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets. Ensure throttle body gasket is installed with protrusion area in proper position. See Fig 1. Tighten throttle body bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill cooling system.
