Windshield Wiper Test 1A - Identifying Windshield Wiper System Problems

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION section in this article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.

Turn ignition on and verify windshield wiper operation. Operate windshield wiper system in high speed mode, low speed mode, intermittent mode and wash mode (with wipers off). If wiper system does not operate properly, perform indicated test. See WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY table.
