Fuel Tank Pressure Relief Valve

  1. Disconnect hoses from fuel tank pressure relief valve. See Figure .
  2. Apply light air pressure on fuel tank pressure relief valve at the inlet side from the fuel tank. See Figure . Air should pass through relief valve with slight resistance.
  3. Apply light air pressure on fuel tank pressure relief valve at the outlet side to EVAP canister. Air should pass through relief valve with no resistance. Replace fuel tank pressure relief valve if defective.
