Test No. 3

  1. If other warning lights are also not illuminated, check for a blown fuse. If other warning lights are illuminated, disconnect instrument cluster connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, check for voltage between ground and instrument cluster wiring harness connector terminal No. 10. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to step 3). If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
  2. Inspect connectors between ignition switch and instrument cluster. Clean or repair as necessary. Verify if original problem still exists. If problem still exists, check Black/White wire between junction block and instrument cluster. Repair as necessary.
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between instrument cluster connector terminals No. 8 and 10. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check for faulty warning light bulb. Replace bulb if necessary. If warning light bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster.
  4. Check Green/Red wire between Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) and instrument cluster. Check Green/Red wire between ABS-ECU and instrument cluster. Repair as necessary.
