Using A Voltmeter (AWD)
- Turn ignition off. Connect analog voltmeter between DLC terminal No. 8 and either terminal No. 4 or 5 (ground). See Figure
.
- Start engine. Stored DTCs will be indicated by sweeps of voltmeter needle. Long sweeps represent first digit of DTC; short sweeps represent second digit. For example, 4 long sweeps and 3 short sweeps indicate DTC 43. If more than one DTC is stored, lowest number will be displayed first.
- After DTCs are recorded, perform indicated test procedure. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC)
table and perform appropriate DTC TEST.
- After repairs, erase DTCs. See ERASING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
. If DTCs cannot be cleared, ABS-ECU is currently detecting a malfunction.
