Ignition Switch

Ignition switch sends signal to ECM indicating whether switch is in On, Off, or cranking (ST) position. When ECM receives an ON signal, it energizes control relay coil and supplies power to sensors and actuators. When ECM receives ST signal, it controls fuel injection rate, idle speed, ignition timing, etc. for optimum cranking conditions.
