Hydraulic Control Unit: Installation

Install HCU in vehicle. Install, but DO NOT tighten, HCU bracket bolts. Tighten HCU bracket-to-frame rail bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m). Tighten HCU bracket-to-fender bolt to 18 INCH lbs.(2 N.m). Install and tighten brake fluid tubes to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m).
Ensure ignition is off. Install CAB connector. Reconnect electrical connectors. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Install heat shield and battery tray. Install battery, and connect battery cables.

Install HCU in vehicle. Install and tighten brake fluid tubes to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m). Ensure ignition is off. Install CAB connector. Reconnect electrical connectors. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
