Test 60B - Repairing Open In Seat Belt Lamp

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Put DRB in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at BCM Black connector terminal No. 21 (Dark Blue/Red wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BCM. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect instrument cluster Red connector. Check connector condition and clean or repair connector as necessary. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage at instrument cluster Red connector terminal No. 9 (Dark Blue/White wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Dark Blue/White wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check seat belt warning lamp socket and bulb. If bulb is open, replace bulb. If bulb is okay, replace mechanical instrument cluster.
