Motor Continues Running With Switch In Off Position
- Check wiper motor wiring harness for shorts between low speed motor feed terminal No. 3 or high speed motor feed terminal No. 2 and battery or ignition.
- Check for faulty wiper intermittent or HI-LO relay. Check circuit from intermittent relay cavity "B" to HI-LO relay cavity "B" for short to battery or ignition.
- Disconnect body controller Yellow 24-way J3 connector. See Figure . Check circuit from terminal No. 1 of J3 connector to terminal "C" of intermittent wiper relay for short to ground.
- Using a voltmeter, connect positive lead to terminal No. 16 of body controller J3 connector. Connect negative lead to ground. If voltmeter reads more than zero volts, check wiper switch and wiring.
- Using voltmeter, connect positive lead to terminal No. 10 of body controller J3 connector. If voltmeter reads 10-15 volts, check circuit for short to battery or ignition. If voltmeter reads zero volts, replace body controller.
