In-Vehicle Testing
- Remove control switch from console without disconnecting electrical connector. Turn ignition and defogger on. Using voltmeter, measure voltage at terminal No. 5 of 13-pin connector and terminal No. 8 of 10-pin connector. See Fig 1
. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, trace circuit upstream of control panel for cut wire, blown fusible link, faulty circuit breaker or inoperative bulkhead connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS

- Using voltmeter, measure voltage at terminal No. 1 of 10-pin connector. See Fig 1
. If battery voltage does not exist, replace control switch. If battery voltage exists, turn defogger off. If battery voltage still exists, replace timer relay.
