AC & AY Bodies

  1. Using DRB-II, stop door lock actuation test. Remove key from ignition switch. Using DRB-II, read key in ignition switch status. If DRB-II displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, refer to TEST 47A in the appropriate TESTS W/CODES - BODY CONTROL COMPUTER article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section. See following list.
  2. If DRB-II did not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, put DRB-II in voltmeter mode. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary.
  3. Check voltage on terminal No. 4 (Orange/Violet wire) of BCM Black connector. While observing DRB-II, lock doors using left door lock switch. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BCM. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1  . If voltage is less than 10 volts, check door lock wiring and switch. Repair as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1  .
