Test 16B - Repairing Remote Keyless Entry Disarm Function
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Disconnect Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module connector. See Figure . Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module connector terminal "H" (White wire). If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace RKE module. If voltage is less than 4 volts, go to next step.
- Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of RKE module connector terminal "H" (White wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in White wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM). With connectors connected, connect jumper wire between BCM Gray connector terminal No. 15 (White wire) and ground. If courtesy lamps illuminate, repair open White wire. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, replace BCM.
