Checking Fluid Level

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Plymouth Sundance, 1994 Plymouth Laser, 1994 Eagle Talon, and 1994 Dodge Shadow. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check lubricant level at filler plug hole on left side of transaxle (on rear end cover). Lubricant should be level with bottom of filler plug hole. Fluid is drained by removing differential cover. Clean magnet. Use 3/16" bead of RTV sealant to form gasket for differential cover.
