Wastegate Actuator Test

Wastegate actuator is mounted on turbocharger. See Figure. On M/T models, apply a pressure of 11 psi (.8 kg/cm² ) to wastegate actuator. On A/T models, apply a pressure of 10 psi (.7 kg/cm² ) to wastegate actuator. On all models, check that wastegate actuator rod moves. Replace wastegate actuator if rod does not move or actuator does not hold pressure.
