Fluid Level Check

  1. With vehicle on flat, level surface, start engine and turn steering wheel several times to warm fluid. Fluid temperature should be about 122-140°F (50-60°C). With engine running, turn steering wheel to full lock left and full lock right several times. Check fluid for foaming or milkiness. Replace fluid if foamy or milky.
  2. With engine running, fluid level should be up to mark on reservoir. Stop engine and check fluid level. If fluid level rises more than .2" (5 mm), bleed system.
