EGR Temperature Sensor (California)

  1. Remove EGR temperature sensor located below EGR valve. Place sensing portion of exhaust gas temperature sensor in water.
  2. Gradually heat water and read resistance values across terminals. See TESTING EGR TEMPERATURE SENSOR  table. Replace exhaust gas temperature sensor if resistance is not within specification.
