Fuel System Pressure Release (3.0L VIN U)
WARNING:
ALWAYS relieve fuel pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related component. DO NOT
allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove fuel tank filler cap to release fuel pressure in tank. Place container under fitting to be loosened. Use a rag to cover fuel line and component. Slowly loosen fitting, allowing pressurized fuel to flow into container. After fuel system has depressurized, disconnect and plug fitting.
