Alternator & Regulator: Description

NOTE: Manufacturer does not recommend disassembling and servicing CS alternators. If alternator is defective, a new unit must be installed.

Monaco and Premier models are equipped with a Delco-Remy CS130 (96-amp) alternator. Alternator does not use a diode trio. If charging system voltage is too high or too low when engine is running, solid-state regulator will cause charge indicator light to turn on. Solid-state regulator is enclosed in a solid mold, mounted inside alternator. Alternator is not serviceable. See Fig 1.
