Coolant Temperature Sending Unit Test

Remove sending unit from intake manifold. Dip sending unit in 158°F (70°C) water. Using ohmmeter, check sending unit resistance. Resistance should be 90.5-117.5 ohms. If not within specifications, replace sending unit. Before installing, apply thread sealant to sending unit.
