Injectors (2.2L TBI & 2.5L TBI): Removal

  1. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE in this article. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove Torx screw holding injector cap.
  2. Using 2 small screwdrivers, remove injector cap. Using a small screwdriver in front of electrical connector, gently pry injector from throttle body. Ensure bottom injector "O" ring is removed with injector.
