Manifold Air Temperature (Mat) Sensor

The MAT sensor is installed in throttle body adapter, at rear of intake manifold. The MAT sensor extends into the air stream. As air/fuel mixture temperature changes, MAT sensor resistance changes, causing input voltage to the ECU to change.
