Removal & Installation

  1. Remove air cleaner-to-throttle body mounting screws. Disconnect idle speed actuator inlet hose and move air cleaner to side. Disconnect electrical connector and throttle cable. Using finger pressure, remove cruise control connector (if equipped).
  2. Remove throttle return spring. Remove throttle body nuts at base of throttle body. Remove gasket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten throttle body mounting nuts to 13 ft. lbs. (18 N.m). Tighten air cleaner-to-throttle body mounting screws to 35 INCH lbs. (4 N.m).
