Removal & Installation

  1. Coolant temperature sensor is installed in thermostat housing, above water pump. Disconnect coolant temperature sensor electrical connector. Remove sensor from thermostat housing.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten coolant temperature sensor to 21 ft. lbs. (28 N.m). Replace any lost coolant. Pressure check cooling system for leaks.
