Speedometer Inoperative
- Test drive vehicle and operate cruise control. If cruise control does not operate correctly, check vehicle speed sensor. If speed sensor is okay, go to step 2). If speed sensor is not okay, replace as necessary. If cruise control operates correctly, check circuit between speedometer and speed module. If circuit is okay, replace speedometer assembly.
- Check vehicle speed sensor wire between speed module and instrument cluster. Check speed module power and ground wires, between sensor and speed module, for power and ground. If power and ground are present, replace speed module. If power and ground are not present, repair faulty circuit wires.
