Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Adjustment
NOTE:
Vehicle can be adjusted using harness adapters and/or ECI checkers. If these tools are used, follow manufacturer's instructions.
- Loosen throttle cable. With ignition off, connect DVOM between wires specified in TPS WIRE IDENTIFICATION table. Turn ignition on. Do not start engine.
- Check TPS voltage. If reading is not .48-.52 volts, adjust TPS until correct voltage is obtained. Turn ignition off and disconnect DVOM. Adjust throttle cable. Disconnect vehicle battery for 10 seconds or more. Start engine and check idle speed.
