Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Adjustment

NOTE: Vehicle can be adjusted using harness adapters and/or ECI checkers. If these tools are used, follow manufacturer's instructions.
  1. Loosen throttle cable. With ignition off, connect DVOM between wires specified in TPS WIRE IDENTIFICATION table. Turn ignition on. Do not start engine.
  2. Check TPS voltage. If reading is not .48-.52 volts, adjust TPS until correct voltage is obtained. Turn ignition off and disconnect DVOM. Adjust throttle cable. Disconnect vehicle battery for 10 seconds or more. Start engine and check idle speed.
