Fuel System Pressure Release
- Fuel pressure must be fully released before opening fuel system or removing any fuel carrying component. To release pressure in tank, open fuel tank cap slowly.
- To release remaining pressure in system, disconnect 4-pin connector from fuel pump/gauge sending unit. This connector is located under vehicle, attached to tab on frame, between fuel tank and fuel filter.
- Start engine and run until engine dies. Fuel injection system can now be opened and fuel carrying components removed as pressure is fully released. Reconnect connector after work on fuel system has been completed.
