Diagnostic Test

  1. ENGINE CONTROL MODULE CONNECTIONS CHECK 
    1. Check that the CAN connections between the engine management control module and the electric steering control module are not faulty. In particular, that there are no open circuit or short circuit problems.

      Are there faulty connections?

      Yes 

      • Restore or, if necessary, replace the wiring.

      No 

      • Go to Step  2.
  2. ENGINE CONTROL MODULE CONNECTION CHECK 
    1. Disconnect/reconnect the engine control module connectors and check for loose pins.

      Were loose pins found?

      Yes 

      • Restore the connector to the correct working order.

      No 

      • Go to Step  3.
  3. ELECTRIC STEERING CONTROL MODULE CONNECTION CHECK 
    1. Disconnect/reconnect the electric steering control module connectors and check for loose pins.

      Were loose pins found?

      Yes 

      • Restore the connector to the correct working order.

      No 

      • Go to Step  4.
  4. ENGINE CONTROL MODULE POWER SUPPLY CHECK 
    1. Check that the engine control module power supply is correct.

      Is the power supply incorrect?

      Yes 

      • Restore the correct power supply.

      No 

      • Go to Step  5.
  5. ELECTRIC STEERING CONTROL MODULE POWER SUPPLY CHECK 
    1. Check the electric steering control module power supply.

      Is the power supply incorrect?

      Yes 

      • Restore the correct power supply.

      No 

      • Go to Step  6.
  6. CHECK USING DIAGNOSTICS EQUIPMENT 
    1. Connect the diagnosis equipment and check for the absence of errors in the engine control module

      Are there errors in the engine control module?

      Yes 

      • Replace the engine control module.

      No 

      • Go to Step  7.
  7. CHECK USING DIAGNOSTICS EQUIPMENT 
    1. Connect the diagnosis equipment and check for absence errors in the electric steering control module.

      Are there errors in the electric power steering control module?

      Yes 

      • Replace the electric steering control module.

      No 

      • End of diagnostics.
